Our Firm Background

Background

International Subsidiary Development Inc. (ISD) was established by Richard K. Field, who started developing foreign subsidiaries in 1994.

Having completed many business development projects, our experienced entrepreneurs are comfortable with the continuous day-to-day efforts, and the challenges that are encountered when starting a business development project. We have grown these business seeds before, and understand the constant care required in such dynamic environments. While maintaining an ambitious, energetic vision, we seek success for our clients and strive to achieve it. We're so convinced that we'll be successful in our endeavors, that our compensation is linked to the value we create.

At ISD, we start subsidiaries more efficiently, with lower costs, and faster than other business development resources, or than you could on your own, or with the myriad existing hands-off advisors. We realize that, regardless of your industry, you need not redevelop the wheel. Many facets of business development require similar development procedures industry to industry. However, to be implemented efficiently, international clients require knowledge of the local or national customs and business practices in the area, plus key regional contacts. Over the past 10 years, ISD's members have been independently organizing all of the potential resources needed to quickly and efficiently develop a business plan; to establish your marketing, sales and distribution activities and channels; and to establish support offices, including legal, operational, and physical infrastructure. We have brought these resources together for your immediate use.

ISD's expert business developers, and senior industry advisors have extensive overseas experience and have mastered a diverse set of language skills, allowing for a quick understanding of your business culture and the culture that you may wish for your new office. These international skills and our cultural awareness are critical for developing a truly global and internationally efficient firm and for avoiding serious cross cultural conflicts and inefficiencies. Why ISD?
